ABOUT US

 

Chroma-Fi is a music production venture founded by composer-musicians Edward and Jonni. With years of experience in composition, songwriting and production, we bring broad musical knowledge in diverse styles and genres to the craft of scoring to picture. 

 

Our aim is to create an emotional flow to visual material: combining sensitivity to the subject with interesting sound design.

SWAT

 

We provided the score and sound design for this wild comedy short by writer-director Sam Coombes, currently screening at film festivals around the world. The film pits a grumpy man against a tiny winged foe, with explosive consequences...

It's A Girl

 

We soundtracked this short psychological drama by writer director Yana Ivantcheva, which was a Jury Special Section Winner at The Gladiator Film Festival 2021 and a semi-finalist at Make Art Not Fear 2021.

Suspiria Trailer

 

In October 2020, we won the SensoriaPro Festival Scoring Contest, rescoring a trailer for the horror film Suspiria (2018); the contest was judged by representatives from Sony, CBS Television and MUBI. Original trailer by MUBI / Intermission film. 

Western Works

 

Our entry to the 2022 SensoriaPro Festival Scoring Contest was an evolving and rhythmic industrial soundscape to a 1928 archive film of Sheffield cutlery manufacturers, courtesy of Yorkshire Film Archive, North East Film Archive and Rotherham Archive & Local Studies Service.

Solarium

 

Following the sad death of Vangelis in May 2022, we put together this video to talk about his influence on us, his exploration of (at the time) cutting edge synthesizer technology, and how we composed our track Solarium, inspired by his soundtracks.
